Well, my guess as to why Samsung did not make the keyboard backlit is because they felt that it was not necessary. I have this device and the screen can get so bright that it lights up the keyboard. I have not felt that the lack of backlighting hinders it in any way.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I found the light from the screen was good enough to type something if you are in a dark room. Plus you can always flip it into tablet mode and type using the on screen keyboard.
