You can set the screen timeout and the screen saver but after the last family hub update, my screen almost never turns off anymore regardless of the settings. It mostly ignores everything in settings and just stays on whatever the last screen you left it on, pretty much forever.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can set the screen to do a few minutes of slideshows then shut-off. There is a sensor in front, so when you walk by, open fridge, get water, etc., screen turns on again, not dependent on touching it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can choose your own background or have it set to go into standby mode. I’m standby, screen stays off until you open on of the doors or you stand in front of it. It has sensors on the outside to know whether someone is at the fridge or not.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The fridge has a proximity sensor, so it stays off after a settable period. (you can keep the radio or streaming Pandora going, but the lighted panel will go dark). Or you can have it display an analog clock, which is what we do.

Even when physically turned off with screen prompts, hun will eventually light up untouched and stay on until physically turned off again. EXTREMELY annoying.
