• I have a cover on my Note 8 and my wife has a cover on her S7. Charger works great with both. Buy at BEST BUY.. give it a try if it does not work return..they are great about returns. Be kind and take item out of box carefully so when you return it they can resell it without having a damaged box.

• I am not sure what a Trident cover is made of, I have a Nomad wallet folio and i do not have to take it out of the case to charge. My suggestion is to go to BB and see if they have one you can try it with.
