• Depends on how thick the case is and if it has metal in it. If it has metal you cannot wirelessly charge, ex. magnetic phone mount. Will definitely work with Speck, Tech 21, and other cases similar to these.

• On my note 5 I was able to charge through my otterbox commuter case but I do know some people have issue charging with certain cases and it's going to depend on the phone/case combination. I would try and go to a store and see if you can test it out before buying one.
