“Noticed slight whiff of gas occas by oven. Nothing significant. Had our Heating/AC co. who did gas conversion from electric to gas come check. Said OK but should have it checked w/meter. Anyone else have this problem? Cause?”

Yes, quite often. Had the gas line and connections checked twice. Never any leaks. Surmise it's the small amount of gas that escapes just before the burner ignites. Only noticable when the stove is in use. Never when it's been off for a while.
