You can turn the oven on **if it is electric only**. The gas version allows you to control it but you have to start the oven and press the smart control button from the stove directly. Once it is started you can change temperature and set timers in the app. The app it uses is the Samsung Smart Home App(Note: This does not require the smart hub or any other hardware it is a direct WiFi connection). I haven't had any issues with reliability. I also have the family hub fridge and it also uses the app.

Name of app is Samsung Smart Home. Keep in mind if you have the gas version of this oven you can only remotely operate the oven. You can monitor the stove top to see if a burner is on but you can not operate it.
