A:AnswerWe have owned this range for more than 18 months and love it. We have not had any issues with the range only great success. The burners cook hot, but we are on propane. I just self cleaned my oven and it did a good job. Scheduled it for 2:00 am so it wouldn't heat up the house.
A:AnswerThe oven does this automatically and I wish I could turn it off, but since I can't I just set it 25 degrees higher than I want. I've had convection ovens since they first came out in the early '80s. My recipes have been adjusted to compensate for convection by time not by temperature. I find this a more accurate method and I get the advantage of shorter cook times.
A:AnswerThe main differences are: a slide in has unfinished sides that are plain black metal and it has no raised piece on the back edge of the unit. You could put on stainless or aluminum sides but a free standing has that already.
P.S. It's a great unit.
A:AnswerIt is not that noisy. We just did on turkey for Thanksgiving and it worked great. We really like the dual fuel for cooking. Very satisfied with our purchase.
