The oven vents all the oven heat out the BACK top of this unit. If you look carefully you can see the vents in the back behind the rear burners. This heat is directed to travel up the back wall, so I don't see how a rear downdraft unit will help any. It's good to note that the amount of heat that travels up the back needs to be taken in account as it is pretty significant. I'd suggest tile or some heat proof material as a back-splash.
