• Hi Leo, The NE59J7850WS is designed to be installed in a standard 30" cabinet opening, so it's fine to install up against the cabinets as long as they meet standard regulations for heat resistance, as described in the installation guide that comes with the Range. • I have mine installed with less than an 1/8" tolerance on each side. It wouldn't hurt it to be touching the counters though.
