Hi, Jolo. As you have discovered, the oven divider is not a perfect insulator. We also store pans in the lower oven, and they get hot when we use the upper one. The instruction manual tells you, I think, that there is some maximum temperature difference that can be maintained between the two ovens, which as I recall, it is not that large.
