QuestionWhy is my black stainless steel finish peeling after 18 months? Followed manual cleaning instructions. Looks horrid and neither Best Buy/Geek Squad /Samsung consider this a warranty issue as it is cosmetic! Really? It seems to be a defect in workmanship
- Answer This is a defective product overall.. I have a 1300 Samsung Black Stainless slide in stove... it has completely peeled and the top has cracked. DEFECTIVE PRODUCT!!
QuestionNo matter how I bake my pizza, the bottom is always pale. How can I get things to brown?
- Answer I too was plagued with pizzas that were soggy on the bottom and well done on the top. I tried a number of brands and styles of pizza just to be sure it was not the pizza I usually buy. Then I figured out from another forum that there is a very bottom setting for the oven rack that sits just above the bottom heating element. Perfect pizza! It's hard to notice the slot for the rack. It would be helpful if the oven shipped with one of the racks in that position so you know it's there.
QuestionHi? Is there a "built in" place to store the divider when it is not being used as a double oven? I couldn't find one and it seems somewhat cumbersome to store every time you decide to use it as a single oven. Thanks!
- Answer Yes, the oven divider can be easily stored in the lower drawer. My installer showed me were it slides onto a rack located inside the top part of lower drawer. It keeps it out of the way and nicely hidden and you can still use the drawer! Hope this helps. :)
Questioncan the oven be cleaned with divider in place
- Answer Well 1 1/2 years later you either really need an answer or no longer have the oven! Anyways I found out today and answer is a definitive No...The manual does state to remove divider and all racks from oven before the cleaning cycle, however, it does not state how to clean divider. I chatted online with Samsung and the rep said "First, try to clean the divider by hand with a wet soft cloth and after that if needed use Cerama Bryte to clean the divider." I googled it, its a ceramic stove top cleaner. I asked if any brand ceramic cleaner would be okay and they said yes. I also inquired about the scraper and pads sold in the Cerama Bryte Kit, Samsung said not to use them, to only use a soft cloth with the cleaning liquid/gel. Samsung did say I could use "Cerama Bryte Burnt-On Ceramic Cooktop Grease Remover" if my ceramic stove top cleaner doesn't work. I asked about Bartenders Friend, as that would save me a trip to the store and the rep said I could also use it. No brushes still. Hope this helps. Thiniking of soaking it in my tub, I will give you an update! LittleMac
QuestionCan the divider be moved up or down?
- Answer No, the divider cannot be moved, it stays in one place. So, you have two sections of the oven, the top or the bottom section. If you want to remove the divider you can and you get the whole entire oven (no divider) using one temp.
QuestionCan the upper oven's fan be turned off to bake as a conventional oven?Convection ovens are not always suitable for baking. I do quite a bit of baking. I wandered if the fan can be turned off to create a conventional type oven or if there is any other options.
- Answer Hi BBlair, The upper oven in the NE59J7850WS relies on the convection fan to circulate the heat created by the broiler; since there is no heating element in the bottom of the upper oven only Convection Bake is available. The lower oven, however, can be set to Bake with or without the convection fan. Of course, when in single oven mode, all functions are available, including non-convection Bake. It's worth noting that convection is often the preferred method for baking since it circulates heat more thoroughly so cookies, for example, brown more evenly. Thanks for your question! Ms. Samsung
QuestionYour answer with a manual down load was NO HELP. I have my manual. NOWHERE IN IT DOES IT STATE/EXPLAIN WHETHER OR NOT I CAN USE ONLY THE TOP OVEN OR ONLY THE BOTTOM OVEN. IT ONLY TALKS ABOUT OPENING THE DARN DOOR ??
- Answer There is a devider plate in the warming drawer of the oven. Remove this insert (plate) and put it in the oven just below the small oven door. You'll see a groove. When it is inserted all the way, you'll hear a beep noise indicating that it is seated all the way. On the console of the oven on the left, it'll have a button to push for top oven. This will allow you to use the small oven only. When done, remove it to use the whole oven or leave it if you want to keep the small oven separate. This makes it 2 ovens, upper and lower. Lower oven button is on the right on console.
QuestionIf I am going to bake in the full oven without the divider , do I need to set the temp in the upper and lower oven ?
- Answer Hi rosebud! The control panel for this model has 2 separate sets of controls, one for the upper oven and one for the lower oven. If you remove the partition, you can use either set of buttons to control the whole oven as one. ^Jecca
QuestionInformation about dehydration featureI haven't seen anything written about the dehydration feature. Could anyone tell me about that or send me a link to read up on that feature.
- Answer Hi Gloria, The Dehydrate feature in the NE59J7850WS dries food or removes moisture from food via heat circulation, and the amount of time it takes to dehydrate depends on the moisture content of the food. You can look up recipes online or in your favorite cookbook or magazine for specific ideas, and also refer to the User Manual which can be downloaded from Samsung's website to learn how to use this setting on the Range. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung

QuestionVariance between oven tempsCan each oven been run totally independently or do they have to be within a certain temp of each other? In other words can I be cooking a turkey in the bottom and warming potatoes in the top?
- Answer Hi Tom, The Upper and Lower Ovens are controlled independently, but there are limits to the temperature variance between them depending on which modes and temperatures are set. A detailed chart can be found on page 41 of the NE59J7850WG User Manual which can be downloaded as a pdf file from Samsung's website. Thanks for your interest! Ms. Samsung
QuestionCan you select two different temperatures in each oven at the same time
- Answer Absolutely. You can also cook with different methods in each oven. Conventional and convection, broil and conventional...
QuestionHow is the bottom oven heated?I notice that the bottom oven doesn't have a burner and wondering where is the heat source for the lower oven and heating drawer?
- Answer The bottom element is below the bottom of the oven. Since the bottom element is covered, they have a steam option. You can pour tap water in the bottom of the oven to Steam Clean it when it is not extremely dirty. The bottom oven can be used as Conventional or Convection. The Buttons with the fan next to them are convection. The top oven is Convection only. The whole oven without the partition may be used as Conventional or Convection.
QuestionI just learned the hard way that the warming drawer is not recommended for storage. A pan fell behind, blocking the warming drawer from closing. What are my options for accessing/removing the pan that blocks the door?
- Answer We're here to help with this, RonsterDugan! First, I'm providing this link (https://bit.ly/3k6CnpI) to the user manual for this model. Page 46 has step by step instructions on how to easily remove the warming drawer. ^Jecca
QuestionCan cast iron pans be used on Samsung electric glass top ranges and cooktops.
- Answer It is not recommended to use the cast iron pans as it could scratch the ceramic glass cooktop.
QuestionCooking 1 Item in Top or BottomAre you allowed to cook on the top or bottom section of the oven while only turning the top or bottom oven on? For example. If I leave the divider in the oven and throw a pizza in the top or bottom and turn it on. It will only turn on the oven section I tell it to. I have had issues with this. A pizza takes 30+ minutes to cook and typically is not cooked evenly. I have talked to a few best buy reps in the appliance area they all say I may have a defective oven (one of the convection fans isn't working right, etc.) I am just wondering others experience with this. I have reached out to Samsung and all they can do is offer me the owners manual. Please weigh in on this.
- Answer I have had similar experiences. I have two thermometers in my oven and they don't match what the oven says. I have to increase my oven temp to get the right temp. And things take longer to bake. I have also been told the same thing about possibly having a defective unit. Will be contacting a Samsung tech soon.
QuestionIs the drawer at the stove bottom meant for storage and does it get hot while cleaning the oven?
- Answer Great question! This model actually has a warming drawer at the bottom. There is a separate control for the warming drawer to turn it on/off. ^Jecca
QuestionCan I pressure can on this? We can beans and tomatoes every year.
- Answer We have used our stove-top pressure cooker on this stove and it worked fine.
QuestionHOW DOES THE BROILER WORK?
- Answer Hello Pat! Broil mode is best for meats, fish, and poultry up to 1” thick. Broiling is a method of cooking tender cuts of meat by direct heat under the broil element of the oven. The high heat cooks quickly and gives a rich, brown outer appearance. To set the oven for broiling you can follow the following: To use Twin mode, insert the partition. If you are using Single mode, skip this step. Select the broil setting you want. Press Broil once for Hi or twice for Lo. Use Lo to cook foods such as poultry or thick cuts of meat thoroughly without overbrowning them. Press START/SET. Broil one side until the food is browned. Turn over and broil the other side. Press OFF/CLEAR once you have finished cooking or if you want to cancel broiling. -Cole
Questionhow close to my kitchen cabinets can the stove be installed?
- Answer Hi Leo, The NE59J7850WS is designed to be installed in a standard 30" cabinet opening, so it's fine to install up against the cabinets as long as they meet standard regulations for heat resistance, as described in the installation guide that comes with the Range. These instructions can also be downloaded in advance from Samsung's website. Thanks for your interest, Ms. Samsung
