Depending on the electrician for your house, you'll have either a 3 prong (220v) or a 4 prong (220v) outlet. Don't confuse the 3 prong 220 outlets with the 110v outlet. Your best bet is to take a picture of your wall outlet and take that to your local hardware store, but if I have to explain it in this detail you'd probably be better off having a professional installer.
