“When using the chrome book as a tablet, does the keyboard disable? My concerns are...when the keyboard is flipped to the back of the screen, using as a tablet the keyboard will still work and if using in the car on odd surfaces, it will push keys.”

Yes! When you flip the device into tablet mode, the keyboard/trackpad both become disabled, so you don't have to worry about pressing stray buttons.

Yes, the keyboard is disabled when in tablet mode. You can push as many buttons you want, and nothing will happen.

it does disable. Typing on my in tablet mode now. No issues with keys, as they are disabled in tablet form as well as when in a tent form. Hope that answers your question.
