- Answer You're paying for a premium build quality which include: 4K UHD display (the screen technology that Samsung uses in their high-end 4K TV's), built-in stylus, aluminum build, 10th gen i5 processor, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, and the fact that this Chromebook will be one of the many Chromebooks coming out later this year that will get software support from Google for 8 years, compared to the previous 5 year update policy. For a Chromebook, this is heck of a lot you're getting in a laptop running Chrome OS. If you were to compare all these specs running on a Windows laptop, you would for sure be paying $1,600 - $2,000.

- Answer Yes it does! There are a lot of reviewers on here that stated it doesn’t or that the backlight is not working but they are wrong! To increase the backlight brightness on the keyboard you need to press the alt key and brightness key at the simultaneously!

QuestionCan the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook screen be set at a resolution lower than 4k? For example, 1080p? Or is it always at 4k?. Would setting the resolution below 4k make the battery charge last longer?

- Answer Hello, To lowering the resolution, **no** I don't think that does it b/c the screen has so much power going to the screen anyway. However, you can lower the brightness and get some extra hours out of the battery depending on how much you lower it. With normal word processing and some coding with low screen brightness I have pushed mine over 8 hours. All chromebooks to my understanding are measured at a certain brightness threshold, and this one gets really bright, it sucks the power up, but the screen is pretty awesome! Samsung is developing some power management updates last I heard, but if you need battery life all the other CB options out there are better. - Answer I have found the experience to be similar to using one of the Samsung stylus tablets with one big exception. This is a 13" laptop that is simply not comfortable to use as a tablet for note taking. It is fine if you have it sitting on a desk or on your lap but not if you are holding it. If you keep it on your lap it can get uncomfortably warm. Battery life is also so-so due to the quality of the screen.

- Answer This laptop is Chromebook compatible with everything you'd need. It works seamlessly. The laptop is internet ready with wifi and you just turn on your printer if wifi enabled. Tell the laptop to find your printer and other wifi enabled devices, it seamlessly runs connects and bam.

- Answer Comes with the same Google basics you get on your phone. Google Photos, Chrome {of course}, YouTube, Google Drive, Play Store, Play Games, etc.... Also had Chrome Canvas, Stadia for gaming, Alot I have uninstalled. All the apps you don't want can be uninstalled. This is preinstalled with less than a Samsung Phone has. You have the option to install LINUX DEBIAN beta, or not. Its there if you are a programmer, app creator etc.... This chromebook runs Android Studio for app creation, installed in Chrome OS or LINUX if you prefer. Also runs BLENDER for 3D animators, also install option of ChromeOS or LINUX.

- Answer Probably not vulnerable. To utilize LVI, the malicious actor needs to: - Find existing gadgets in the victim software that meet all of the attack requirements. - Influence the behavior of the victim's environment to cause execution of the gadget inside the victim. - Influence the victim's execution so that a specific load inside the gadget takes a fault, assist or abort. - Cause the transient execution to last long enough that the gadget puts the attacker-desired data into the covert channel. - Look for the signal in the covert channel emitted by the LVI gadget through the background noise created by the system. Needing to perform all these steps increases the complexity of the attack, beyond the already significant complexities present in other transient execution vulnerabilities Due to the numerous, complex requirements that must be satisfied to implement the LVI method successfully, LVI is not a practical exploit in real-world environments where the OS and VMM are trusted. Because of the Intel® Software Guard Extensions (Intel® SGX) strong adversary model, attacks on Intel SGX enclaves loosen some of these requirements. Notably, the strong adversary model of Intel SGX assumes that the OS or VMM may be malicious, and therefore the adversary may manipulate the victim enclave's page tables to cause arbitrary enclave loads to fault or assist. Where the OS and VMM are not malicious, LVI attacks are significantly more difficult to perform, even against Intel SGX enclaves. Accordingly, system administrators and application developers should carefully consider the particular threat model applicable to their systems when deciding whether and where to mitigate LVI.

- Answer I was concerned about this prior to purchasing it. I have had the laptop now for over five months and battery life has seldom proved to be any true negative. If you suspend sleep mode so its always on the internet like I do you can get a soli 6 hours. Mind you that's running full power. If you use a energy saving setting it doubles the time to around 11 hours. My onky complaint is the underside can get wicked hot if you're actively using it having it on your lap is noticeable. Always use some kind of solid surface underneath it. Last comment the little bugger has been dropped so many times and nothing. Takes it like a champ. Definitely a choice buy.
