I bought one yesterday and put my verizon sim card in it and it works just fine.

Pretty sure Verizon has finally retired CDMA. According to multiple sources, this phone is compatible w pretty much all carriers because the industry has converged on a v small number of communication standards for wireless telephony & data transfer. But if you have doubts, a quick call to your service provider can give you an authoritative response.
