Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I take back what I said. This phone is actually compatible with Verizon. I decided to pick up another one after returning it, but this time checking its compatibility with Verizon by using its imei number and it said it is compatible. So I bought it and everything on it works great! I guess I just had a defective phone so I wasn't able to make calls or receive texts. I would highly recommend this phone. The only gripe I have with the new phone is that it heats up quickly even with only minimal use. Good luck with your new phone!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.@AnnZee s5 takes an SD card!!!!! Will you go back to your s5? Reason I ask is bc I have a s5 but I'd like to upgrade to the a50 but I'm unsure.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. To answer your question,i bought this phone at a Verizon store in July 2019. I upgraded from a Samsung S5.. Last week, October 2019, I switched to T-Mobile. (That is a different discussion.) It was basically a SIM card swap. I’m still working on getting the Verizon defaults off the phone, but it works just fine on GSM as it did on Verizon’s CDMA. About the phone: It works well enough but it takes more steps than the S5 to do things. Also, and this was big for me, there is no visual indicator that a missed call, voice mail, or text has been received. To check it, you have to double tap the black screen or push a side button to wake it up. Then you swipe the lock screen to get to the keypad to enter your lock code. It was easier, and more ADA compatible, to have the visual indicator. Battery life is great. The camera is the upgraded Samsung version and is great. It is not compatible with G5, per the salesperson. And since I got it, for USD350, I have seen it for USD200 for existing customers. I checked the trade-in value with Verizon and it’s only USD 75. Really? Overall I miss my S5. I upgraded the phone because the S5 kept telling I could not update my apps because there is no space. I don’t believe that but I don’t know how to get around it. So it appears I am doomed to use the A50 for now. Anyone reading this, if you have additional info, suggestions for use, or corrections for any misunderstandings I might have, feel free to comment.
