It will work on CDMA and GSM networks but the only caveat is that the 5G on the Samsung A52 5G does not support Verizon's UWB (Ultra Wide Band) for 5G. It will still use Verizon's 5G but if only Ultra Wide Band is available where you are then you won't get the best speeds. The different bands/standards are so confusing that you have to do a lot of research into them. If you buy a phone from your carrier it will support whatever bands they use.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was going to pull the trigger and buy the A52- what a great phone spec for a non-premium, grossly expensive device. However, further investigation reveals that Samsung omitted the B13, 700 mhz radio from the device. (Was this a nod to Verizon to restrict the usefulness of the device?) This frequency, because of the greater distance coverage, is what makes Verizon network coverage so good. So, yes, the A52 WILL WORK on Verizon LTE networks, but you will not be happy with all the dropped calls. This IS a GSM phone which is not really an issue unless you live in rural areas which still rely on 3G, CDMA coverage. Verizon B0 and B1, CDMA frequencies are on the device, but the device only operates with GSM tech. If anyone has contrary information, please reply.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Bought an A52 from Best Buy yesterday, but sadly the Ting website said the CDMA card from my dead A51 is incompatible with the A52. Ting chat support said the same thing, but they might have just been reading from the same page. Would love to try it, but just switching cards never works with Ting, they must do something at their end.
