Backlighting on keyboard will not stay on? null

ON THE LEFT SIDE CORNER HAS A BLUE LIGHT AND ONE SIDE THERE IS A SENSOR ,COVER WITH YOUR FINGER AND YOU WILL SEE THAT THE KEYBOARD TURNS ON BECAUSE IT IS AUTOMATIC .

Under the input page in the Samsung settings app (Fn + F1), you can toggle the backlighting from turning off

i threw a double sticky note that was cut in a square over the sensor (to the right of the blue light. its not visible unless you look for it from the side in bright lighting. this worked really well. then fn + f9 kept it on till i turned it off.
