Can you wear them without using the rubber tip? null

If you mean the part that goes in your ear canal (there are two removable rubber parts per bud), I haven't tried it, but I don't imagine it working very well, if at all.

The sound quality will be very poor as they are designed with a good seal in mind. I also imagine they will not be secure at all as they partially rely on the silicone tip to secure themselves in the ear.
