• No you do not have to wear both usually only wear the right while driving you can customize the buttons with the app.

• No, you have the option of using both or just one. There is one button on each ear bud piece so the assign function to that ear bud will still work if you chose to use only one. You can also control the ear bud with the phone through your app. Hope this info helps.
