“Can a prepaid phone such as this be used with out a service plan or do you have to prepay in order to use a wifi service? My 7 year old doesn't need a service plan, or minutes to talk. She uses google hangouts via wifi to message me or call me.”

Hi. This is Cristy from TracFone Wireless. Yes. You can use the phone to access the internet using your Wi-Fi network without adding a service plan. If in the future you wanted to use it in making or receiving calls and text messages, you will have to add and redeem a service card to activate the phone. Thank you.
