“I have a LG model 306G phone using tracfone straightalk service, Can I remove the sim card from the LG phone & use it in this new J710 phone without any problems or will I need to purchase a new sim card & have the phone activated? Both use micro cards.”

if the sim card fits right then you can switch it but also call straight talk to follow their instructions so that your data plan is placed on the new phone itself.
