I imagine that depends on your phone service. Mine is compatible with T-Mobile and my service is unlimited North America. The unlocked phones come from different countries and Samsung does not provide a warranty on them. I utilized Best Buy's plan instead. As long as the phone is compatible with the plan, you should be fine, but check first with the carrier. We called T-Mobile with the model number prior to our purchase.
