Definitely the Samsung , I purchased the kids fire and it was extremely slow also even once you download an app you can not use it with out constant internet which means unless your child at home or somewhere with internet it's pretty much useless

Please try again later.if children's tablets follow suit of other products (amazon fire for adults, samsung smartphones), i would recommend the samsung. in my experience with other products: the samsung user interface is much easier to navigate; samsung will allow access to google services such as play, books, etc.; amazon requires use of amazon's versions, which were not as easy to use, lacked offerings, etc.; samsung's products also seemed to function more rapidly than amazon's.
