• Yes--It allows you to connect usb devices (like a flash drive or even a PS3 game controller) to the tablet.

• Again, no models listed, but I haven't found any models that don't work. Especially Samsung. It should work on any device that uses micro usb to sync data.

• I would think that Samsung USB accessories would be universally compatible, even with other brands. My tablet is just a few months old. It works fine.
