Yes, it will be expensive. But, make sure you ask to buy the factory unlocked. Now this only applys to gsm network such as att, t mobile, and such.

If I remember correctly, I believe I saw an ad somewhere where you can buy the phone unlocked for full price and then take it to another service provider. I can't remember where it was, but it was legitimate. However, I really wouldn't recommend MetroPCS. The service for us was really awful. I recommend AT&T Next cause that's what I just used and I'm loving it. Just make sure you either don't care about changing your number or you have made sure you will have your same number before you make a transaction. Next makes it difficult to fix your number after the fact.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.It would need to be purchased and then unlocked. As is it will only work on AT&T's network. If you're going to pay full price your best bet would be to try to find one online that is already unlocked.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I tried! Since that day i bought 3 note 4s. I needed 1 for international err carrier! The best option i could find was on the web at amazon and it was close to 900 dlls. I was very reluctant to shell out close to 1k and not find out untill days later that i had gotten a bill of goods! They are called factory unlocked phones and although amazon was very informative and commited to back up the quality of the purchse despite not being the actual vendor i had to walk away!

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This phone is locked to AT&T. Paying full price still only gets you a locked phone to the model you choose. AT&T and Verizon ones are nasty to unlock and currently are not possible to do so without their permission and they won't give you that permission.
