• There was a pretty good preorder promotion going on before its release at best buy. Where a $200 gift card was received for trade in credit of old phone. I used the gift card towards the purchase of note 4. The phone is regular $299

• Sprint is now selling it for $299 with new 2 year contract agreement. They also match any online price such as Amazon, if the price were ever to go down.

• don't know where you got the $299 quote at, but Best Buy always has the best deals on cell phones. it is the best value because you can do just about anything with this phone, no need for a laptop or a tablet. The other is the great customer service, knowledge and attention you receive at Best Buy.
