“Is the phone activated when shipped if it is an upgrade?”

• You have to install the SIM card which is provided. Call an 1-800 number from another phone and it will be activated. As long as you don't change carriers and plans the upgrade fee is $30.00. (One time fee). You don't pay an activation fee additionally.

• I purchased the phone in store and then I choose ATT FOR MY CARRIER

• No, it comes with a SIM card you will need to activate if you are with AT&T. However if you have a phone with the same sized sim card, you can just save the hassle of activating a new by using your old sim
