They only charged the price of device and the one time activation fee. We were able to call directly to Verizon and asked for them to take off the activation fee since we were outstanding customers who paid on time our bill. We did pay the full bill than called Verizon to get it off and on the next month bill they did credit it back off our account. It takes some work but you can get the $40 per phone activation fee back.
