If you go to the store or call they would be able to answer that for sure but I believe they should be able to do that

Please try again later.When you buy into a BOGO deal, it usually implies creating a contract for two years and paying monthly for the phone plus your phone bill and these are usually company specific, meaning you go thru Verizon or Sprint and you can not take a Verizon phone to another phone company. What you just described, you will benefit with a unlocked phone. Just setup the new phone and switch the sim card. (This is what I been doing for the last 7 years). The down side, you have to pay full price for each phone.
