Note 5 antenna quality? I have the Note 3 and my husband has a different samsung phone. My husband always has better reception for calls and texting. I'd say half the time I can't text. Very frustrating. Can anyone tell me if that has improved with the newer Note?

Well before I had the note 5 I also had the note 3 and I never had any problems with it I really loved it. I didn't even have to buy the 5 but I thought well I skipped the 4 I guess I could get the 5 but no regrets at all.

I've had all the notes and I've never had any problems. My carrier is Verizon. Perhaps it's the carrier but I'm not sure. Good luck.

Yes, the antenna has been upgraded in this model.

The Note3 had a known issue with a faulty/defective cellular antenna connection which caused the poor signal strength and dropped call issues. My wife unfortunately was the victim of this horrible issue that Samsung and the Geek Squad never succeeded in fixing. I haven't heard of the issue being resolved on later models of the Note phone. I would suggest going with the S6 instead which I can confirm never had and still doesn't have that issue at all.

I don't see any difference between my wife's S6 and the Note5, but that doesn't really surprise me. There is a big difference between my Note5 and the Motorola Moto X (2013) that I had. The Motorola's reception quality is much higher than the Samsung and always has been.

I have no issues with reception aside from my home where my past four iPhones have also had issues, so in that case it has been a carrier issue. The reception quality on this device is excellent in my opinion.

I have had zero issue texting or receiving text and haven't seen it posted as an issue. You can can always check an android forum for further answers.
