- Answer Buy the phone outright thru Best Buy.DO NOT finance thru the plan provider! Just exchange YOUR new phone for the old one .Note Your Best Buy person will be able to help you and you keep your telephone number and do not modify your current plan .Best buy can help you with extended payments on your new phone and it will still be less expensive than the New AT&T's new plan/contract!.

- Answer The differences between these models include the operating system, which is Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) for the Galaxy Note8, and Android 8.1 (Oreo) for the Galaxy Note9. The Galaxy Note8 also has a slightly higher resolution. The Galaxy Note9 is a slightly larger model. In addition the newer model has a faster CPU, more memory, better refresh rates and graphics chips, stereo speakers, as well as a Bluetooth supported stylus and supports faster networking speeds. The available color options are different between the models as well.
