None. The internal memory is for storage for your pictures, music or document / email attachments. If you are near full it will give you an alert. The apps does not really take much storage but it eats up your battery, so close your apps if you're not using it. Better still set your phone on power saving mode, it saves your battery consumption.

I'm only at 21GB with my apps installed. However, I think I bought an unlocked phone, so it didn't have much to start with. I also bought an mucro SD card for some expanded storage.
