I believe the $300 is for qualified upgrades, because I just upgraded my phone a week ago and I got the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 with Instant $300 off with the installment payment. It's available with 18 or 24 months less as well. I don't know much about the trade in, but I will suggest going into the store and talk to one of the mobile rep. or Call the store to speak to someone in the mobile department or check the online store. Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I was able to upgrade to the Note 9 on sprint and still received the $300 price discount. They said my S7 was worth about $70 trade, I sold mine on Ebay for $125 when I found the memory card slot was not functioning
