“notifications sounds Thinking of getting an S5. My current Motorola Moto XX has only 1 tone for BOTH incoming emails and texts. I don't need to immediately see an email but I would like to know about a new text. Does the S5 have the ability to have two separate tones for email and text?”

The S5 will allow you to set a tone for each individual contact for Phone, text and email.

I've got 2 Moto X phones and have different tones for almost every notification (Facebook, calls, voice mails, text, email and even news alerts). This is inherent in all releases of android, and is pretty easy to do. You should be able to go into each app and choose the "notification" or ringtone and select different ones. I believe you can set it from settings but to customize it, you should do it within each app. Ringtone: Go into the "phone", select the 3 menu dots>Settings>Phone Ringtone> select from the various choices under the "complete action using"> Media Storage. Voicmail notification> section just below ringtone in the same steps above> Sound> Media Storage> select choice. (text) Messenging app> 3 menu dots> Settings > scroll down to Nofications sections > choose Notification and Sound Hope this helps.
