A:AnswerI've bought two phones through Best Buy, mainly because the phones were less expensive than at a Verizon store. Best Buy offers insurance but you don't have to get it. There are absolutely no additional fees that Best Buy applies. You pay for the cost of the phone that's advertised and the tax of the full phone price (same as Verizon store). Verizon adds a $30 phone upgrade fee once to your bill, same as if you bought the phone in their store. Hope this helps.
A:AnswerYes, definitely consider it. It protects the screen from those unfortunate little nicks from everyday uses.... like for example* change in pocket or keys.
A:AnswerResistant means exactly that... you can use the phone in the rain and not worry about the water or dust ruining the phone. Or even drop it in a glass of water. sink or whatever but it is not PROOF. Meaning it will only survive being underwater for 30 minutes at 3 ft depth
A:AnswerYes.
my wife had a iPhone 5c and the tech at the main Verizon store at Valley view transferred everything to h r new S5; names & phone #s + photos, music etc to her micro SD card
apps did Not transfer
A:Answeryes my wife and I both had our #s transferred to our new VZW plans from another carrier best of all best Buy did everything for us while we picked out accessories
A:AnswerI found out certain apps slow my phone down and some don't. Always shut your phone down completely at least once or twice a week for about 10 minutes ,that helps. Always do updates on your phone when notified and lastly erase as many texts and pics you don't need to free up as much space as possible, that helps!
A:AnswerPhone contracts are "per line", so you will not extend anyone else's contract. However, if you have a really old family plan, you may be required to upgrade to a newer one in order to get a new device activated. It's best to ask a service rep about this beforehand. Even if a plan change is required, usually newer plans are better deals, so it's just a matter of checking into it.
A:AnswerI got the S5 for $1 during their pre-Black Friday sale. I kept the same plan as before, but was charged with the additional fee of either $35 or $40 for transferring to a new phone.
A:AnswerYes. It uses data to check email in push options. It doesn't take much a few KB each time. You can disable your automatic push and set to manual or you can change it to only check every hour or so. This will lower the amount of data it uses and will also increase your battery life.
I am speaking only to the automatic email retrieval options. If you are checking each email as it lands then the data is much higher. That size depends on the email itself and whether you have it turned on to pull down all the images too.
A:AnswerIt shows the option for this but I don't know how well, or if, it actually is. I'm not happy with some of the other features of this phone because they don't function well. This may or may not be true of the hearing aid compatibility feature.
A:AnswerI have about 150 apps and there is still onboard storage to go, and that's all that's on internal storage besides the operating system. I have a 32GB SD that all other downloads, pictures, etc go on to and that's never been full. Since you can get up to 128GB on this phone for SD, you should never have a issue with storage.
