My wife and I have done this in the past, so unless Sprint has changed their policy I would think so.

However, Best Buy will activate the phone on the line that is eligible for the upgrade. I'm a long time Sprint customer and they had no problem swapping my numbers between devices. As a matter of fact, I didn't even speak to a person for one of the swaps, I just followed the (Sprint) on-line instructions. Good luck!
