It likely will work great in Kazakhstan unless the carrier there uses the same technology as T-Mobile here in the United States. Here it doesn't send or receive calls 50% of the time. This is an unlocked phone that was originally configured for AT&T. Just don't use it on T-Mobile and you'll be fine.

You should check with your service provider about the frequency bands that would be supported.
