• It would be possible, sometimes carriers are very reluctant to unlock them though. Mine is unlocked and works fine on metro.

• I have a question instead of an answer. So, if I have Metro PCS as my Carrier, I would have to switch to another Carrier like Sprint in order to have the phone unlocked then switch back to Metro PCS?
