You probably already got an answer to this, but in case anyone else was wondering -- I was just at an AT&T store and asked this same question. They told me that "yes, the insurance will still cover the phone if purchased at Best Buy since they are an authorized AT&T retailer. The insurance follows your phone line, not the phone." So I guess as long as you're buying it as an upgrade or porting your existing AT&T number to it your insurance coverage stays the same.
