“What does the UW mean on the s20 phone? I thought the s20 has been out for a while, why does this phone need to be preordered? Thanks”

• The UW stands for "Ultra Wideband" It is the specific mmwave technology that Verizon uses for 5G. Verizon had to get Samsung to create a specific S20 model for their 5G technology. The previously released S20 was only compatible with other carriers "low-band" 5G technology. Once Verizon gets their low band up and running, the S20 5G UW will be compatable with it as well.
