http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobile/4g-vs-lte/ Basically 4G stands for the 4th GENERATION of cellular technology. LTE is more or less made up by the carriers to sound fancier than it is. All 4 major carriers claims the have '4G LTE' data, yet Verizon is hitting 99% of the country with 50MBPS DL speed (for example), whereas Sprint is hitting 50% of the country with 5MBPS DL speeds. They both are claiming 4G LTE, but are vastly different in their approaches.
