• The phone has its own 1 year warranty and you have 14 days from the date that you receive the phone from BestBuy to purchase additional coverage. Amazon offers a better extended warranty however, if you buy from BestBuy, you cannot purchase a warranty from Amazon. There is a cost, per month, if you choose, with BestBuy - something I have to think about. For unlocked phones, extended warranties, with BestBuy, there is a *fee* of about $50.00, service fee that is. Since the cost of the phone, with tax, is a little over $200, you should weigh the pros and cons of an extended warranty. I hope this helped!

• best buy offers different warranty plans but samsung does come with the default manufacturer's warranty (covers defect and such-does not cover if you drop your phone or damage on your own term-best buy warranty covers that). It is USA version.
