This would be a function of your wireless supplier rather than the phone itself. Since the phone you are specifying is a Verizon Wireless branded phone, I would check with them. All of the major wireless suppliers - Verizon, AT&T, TMobile, Sprint - SHOULD have excellent service in North Carolina.
