• No contract renewal if you do a easy lease , or if you buy the phone outright, the only thing is if yiur still paying on your lease phone you will need to pay it off before they will let you get another one

• Your choice. I kept my old contract because we get unlimited data for 3 phones free. This deal isn't offered anymore so you have to ASK TO KEEP YOUR OLD CONTRACT. Otherwise they will try to start a new one at huge expense of renting phones, etc. If you want the installments (why would you?), then you get a new contract and terms not as favorable as the old. (SPRINT)
