You are correct. Samsung has made a huge mistake with the design of the Galaxy S6. Both the removable battery and micro SD slot have been removed from the S6 design. I would NOT recommend the purchase of the S6. If you are willing to wait, Samsung is receiving a huge backlash from the customer community and will most likely put these features back into the design of the S7. I own a Note 4 and no way am I going to upgrade if the Note 5 follows the nasty path that the S6 did. I sure hope not!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Correct on both counts. Battery is not "serviceable" by the user and there is no SD card. I shared the same concerns you have, but went with the Galaxy S6 anyway due to many other factors. The battery holds a charge for a long time and I run many apps simultaneously, including streaming music on Pandora and Amazon Prime. The phone comes with 32GB of storage, which is more than my previous phone with SD card. In addition, I opened up a free DropBox account where my pictures all synch for easy access and sharing. So I am happy with the phone and the transition, and I don't miss either of those features. The camera is better than Apple's and I use that a lot. 16 MP and multiple modes... Good luck in your quest for a phone!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it is true you can not. I was very disappointed in that feature also
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. I suggest getting the one with more gb if you have a lot of music or videos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.True indeed. The S6 has no removable back. Therefore no SD card or battery to remove.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No SD card, no swap-able battery, Samsung has a replacement plan at their stores for $45 for the battery
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It is true you cannot swap battery or memory But the Iphone doesnt compare to storage. Iphone stats with 8GB or 16Gb. The S6 starts with 32GB going up to 128GB. The battery life is also better. I only charge over night and have enough battery to last me throughout my 12 hr work day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.yes that is correct, no battery change and no SD slot!! the battery should be fine for 2 years though, it's a high quality lith cell and with 32 gigs of memory and free access to the cloud from Samsung it's all right, less stuff to go bad and keeps the profile of phone slim!!!!! and slim is good !!!most phones are moving to this spec on their top end phones !!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That is true. They decided to go with a removable battery to make the device thinner and have better build quality. Regardless the battery is great especially with the newer smaller processor which has the same power as other chips but consumes less battery power. As for the SD card..depends really on what you will use on the device but for movies, music and pictures ..i think 32 is more than sufficient and unlike apple the base unit will be a 32gb device not 16 gb..you really gotta see the build quality on the device..once you do you wont care about the battery and sd card issue really the past samsung's dont compare.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All true. But I thought it was a deal breaker too, but then I realized that I almost never, if ever, "swapped" SD cards (I bought a fast card, and left it in the phone for the most part.). And the battery issue? The only reason I ever swapped batteries was if the old one was dying or not charging, and I am hoping the battery in the S6 is a quality one, so I suppose I'm taking a chance there. But I use car charger, wireless charger intermittently, and have a battery back up charger as well in case I need the phone for more than a normal day. I think it will be okay. And by having all the phone's memory in one solid state device, the response time and retrieval time is faster than with SD card, if that's any consolation.
