totally agree however with phone prices being what they are nowadays, it would be a little costly for a family as opposed to just buying one. the thing i dont get is that at&t offers buy one get one free for transferring or new customers but they dont show any love for people who have been with them for the last 8 years.....loyalty is a one way street i guess!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Its still a contract. They just call it "financing" now. No difference between paying a penalty for leaving or having to pay the cost difference of the phone. No Contract my rear end. Good marketing on carriers part, stupid on the customers part for just ponying up the cash. Carriers have absolutely no incentive to be kind to their customers any longer or give deals for loyalty. Similar to the cable companies, their motto is "ok then quit" and someone else will pick up your spot.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The answer is simple. People are stupid. I ended up doing it because I broke my phone and needed a new one immediately for work. However my job covered the cost; otherwise I never would have done it. However, the discounts are gone and will not be coming back unless people stop financing the phones. The discounts were provided by the manufacturers not the service providers. Now that they have hooked everyone on the phones (just like a drug dealer will do with a child) they have stopped providing the incentive to buy the product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ATT no longer offers the 2 year contracts.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Phone companies want to nickel and dime you for everything they can get from you. I was told by my phone company "all phone companies no longer offer free phones when you upgrade." That's when I can to the conclusion they want to stick it to where ever they can.
