QuestionAny insurance for buying it no contract?I wanted to know if I wanted to buy the Samsung Galaxy S7 at best buy with no contract, is there any way to get insurance or warranty on the phone through geek squad or best buy?

- Answer When i got mine, even though im contracted with at&t, i purchased the geek squad protection plan, simply because its easier to deal with best buy rather than asurion.

QuestionI don't understand why people would finance a phone for 30 months. They pay full price. what happened to getting a discount for signing a contract

- Answer totally agree however with phone prices being what they are nowadays, it would be a little costly for a family as opposed to just buying one. the thing i dont get is that at&t offers buy one get one free for transferring or new customers but they dont show any love for people who have been with them for the last 8 years.....loyalty is a one way street i guess!

QuestionIs the battery user replaceable, like the s5 and prior models?The Galaxy S6 was the first in the galaxy line that eliminated the replaceable battery which was a key reason I didn't upgrade then.

- Answer No the only items which can be removed/upgraded is the SIM card and the MicroSD card, Battery is not replaceable by the user. Its a unibody/one piece design.

- Answer Greetings, Eddieg. Thank you for reaching out with your concern. The device that had a manufacture recall was the Galaxy Note 7, not the S7. As such this device is just fine with none of the battery problems that persisted in the Note 7. I hope this helps with your question. ^Viv

- Answer Yes, my last phone was the GS4 and I road it into the ground. I opted for the GS7 instead of the GS8 because it was a better value and the technology will last. I hate Apple and all the hype associated with it as well as the "must have the newest, blah, blah, blah". I phone, text, use Google maps, view email and social media, take pics and maintain my contacts. I'm a simple guy with a good phone that will be run into the ground, again. I have a life and my cell phone is a passenger, not the driver.

- Answer No all Galaxy S7's are 32GB. ITs cheaper to buy a micro SD card to expand the memory/storage.

- Answer I am also with AT&T and have been for over 15 years! Yes, you can do an UPGRADE with the phone. However, there is a catch regarding the upgrade. I would go to the Best Buy store, and ask them for the details regarding the upgrade. If you read all the details here (including the "fine" print which many people do NOT read) it does mention the upgrade details (information). This is an Unlocked phone (I purchased the Pink one). Sadly, AT&T doesn't offer good deals (like Best Buy) so I have never purchased my phone from an AT&T store. I purchased this phone, and went to the AT&T store to have AT&T activate my phone. I did an upgrade from my Galaxy S5 to this one. I love it and it is SUPER FAST and so much better than the older Galaxy cell phone models. I highly recommend this phone to anyone seeking an upgrade. Treat yourself this Christmas (LOL)!

- Answer Yes you can however your Samsung S3 cable WONT quickly charge the S7. Only the charger it comes with charges the S7 quickly. The circular wireless "fast" charger DOESNT charge half as fast as the wall charger, but it came free with my purchase so I cannot complain.

As far as the warranty goes, all Samsung products have a 1-year Limited service warranty. ^Sarah

- Answer I called samsung support. Thye have no record of the existence of the model number for the AT&T version of this phone shown at the bestbuy website. The rep said that resellers use their own made-up model numbers for refurbished phones, and usually put an "R" in the model number. That could explain both the seeming low price and unique model number of this phone
