I have bought several unlocked phones and they all have worked fine. You just have to make sure when you buy it that it works with your carrier. I bought the Samsung Galaxy S8 from Best Buy a few months ago and they transferred all my contacts and pictures in just a few minutes. I always buy my phones at Best Buy, they are the best and the customer service is great.
