- Answer Yes. All unlocked phones can be used for international purposes because Verizon or AT and T phones are only specific to those carriers, so finding those companies in different parts of the world is difficult. With the unlocked phone it’s much more easier you put a chip in from any carrier internationally and it works as if it had been bought and actived in that country.

- Answer If it does not have Oreo installed already, soon after you activate it and have a cellular provider, you will get a notification that there is a system update available for download and installation. Mine is now running version 8 of Android (Oreo). Make sure that you have auto update set up in your Settings, this may be the default. To verify your OS, go to Settings, scroll down to the end at "About Phone", click it then click "Software Information", then Android Version should be at the top of the list. Mine is 8.0.0. My experience with Android tablets is that Samsung is good about doing updates promptly.

- Answer If you have an unlocked phone, you can take it to any carrier. But typically, the big thing is that you can just buy a pre-paid SIM card in another country if you are traveling. Usually, other countries rates to call back to US are cheaper than the roaming charge from the US.

- Answer Sorry, does Unlimited mean unlocked? I can only answer for unlocked. That is what I bought. I pulled the sim card out of my old Verizon Motorola Maxx, plugged it into my new S8 and that was it. I didn't change the service provider, Verizon, and no activation fee was involved. Insert sim card and Go. I didn't change anything, still have Backup, visual voicemail, etc. As far as Verizon is concerned, I still have the same service as before.

- Answer The price that Best Buy had on the phone was the price I paid. I had my own carrier that i had been with.

- Answer U should be able to use this with Verizon. U will need to put ur current SIM card into that phone and probly call Verizon to activate it. I use a different carrier so I'm not sure. But that how the process went for me. Great phone btw. Deff worth it.
